Windows XP and the hiberfil file

Ok so you are getting together a little pc for some donkey work and its drive is only a few gigs but ou are thinking I will manage to install XP because they say you require only 1,5 gigs and you have a partition with SIX gigs, so that's plenty of space, even considering updates, upgrade pack etc..

but nope, after installing XP somehow there's TWO gigs missing from the equation, in the C drive, hidden from sight as it is a system file, there's a file called "hiberfil" and it is very big, in my case about 2 gigs.

Here's how to get rid of it.

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Power Options

go to "Hibernate" then untic the "Enable hibernation" click OK
